Who else has secretly hoped that could have a surprise proposal, and even better if there is a photographer, that's exactly what happened to me.
If someone told me they were surprised when they were proposed to, I wouldn't believe it either. But honestly, I was shocked!
This post is all about my surprise proposal!

April was still the beginning of Covid and we were going very stir crazy. I was 9 months pregnant and in need of an adventure before this baby got here!
Seth asked if I wanted to drive to Duluth to get one of our favorite sandwiches! Things are getting wild around here! I LOVE sunrise so he asked if I wanted to wake up for sunrise at the Stone Arch Bridge! He then suggested we could pick up some donuts and then head to Duluth after. Sounded like a dream adventuer day.
You'd think this would clue me in… NOPE! Because this type of day was not out of the norm of us in the past!
Little did I know Seth had a hard time falling asleep the night and had a plan for sunrise!
When we got to the Stone Arch Bridge, he walked out into the middle of the bridge and said “come here”. I legitimately thought he was walking me out to take a picture, so I was SHOCKED when he dropped to one knee!
Seth said he was surprised how surprised I was. He figured I’d suspect something!
So… we’re pretty sure he asked me to marry him “please” haha!
We’re also pretty sure I said yes (I agreed again later to be sure).
We both kinda blacked out when he proposed.
ALSO, I saw this guy taking our picture and I asked Seth if he’d hired him! Seth said “what guy?” I was like WELL HOT DAMN… THAT GUY! He’s been taking our picture this whole time!
As we passed the guy taking pictures I approached him (because he wasn’t even going to stop us!) and I asked if he’d caught any of that. He said he was there for the eagles at sunrise but we were more interesting!! I gave him my info and got his (just in case).
Later SETH got the photos and told me it was his friend taking the photos!
Seth was planning on surprising me with printed photos but instead, my awareness level went from 0 to 100 when someone was snapping pics.
Seth, ABSOLUTELY nailed this day!
Thank you @samholtimages and serious kudos to you and Seth for keeping it together as I aggressively gave you my email.
Like always, thanks for reading,
xo Shay
