I started YouTube in 2015

In 2015, I started my YouTube channel filming on my computer's WEBCAM *cringe*.

I had no idea how to edit, no idea what SEO was, but I had so much I wanted to share!

Over the next few years, I made A LOT of mistakes, but I kept learning.

I created this course so you could skip the years of guessing and START with the knowledge I now.

Being new at anything is hard. With YouTube you might feel like you don't know your niche, you do but you feel like it's saturated, you don't have good equipment or your afraid someone you know might find your channel. Or plain and simple you just have no idea where to start.

Lesson 2: Niche or Not? (8 min 17 seconds)

This one is always up for debate. You want to talk about so many things how or why should you niche down?!
Is it beneficial? Limiting?

We'll dive into all of this in this lesson.

Lesson 3: How to feel comfortable on camera (2 min 30 seconds)

It can be weird talking to a camera, and if you're not comfortable the footage can be hard to watch.
I'll give you the best tips to feeling comfortable and ways to get better faster.

Lesson 4: YOUR YouTube Channel (6 min 20 seconds)

LET'S DO IT!! This is it! This is the lesson where we will actually create your YouTube channel! We will get it up, create the banner (what programs to use), profile picture, how to name your channel, and tips for branding!

Lesson 5: Upload your first YouTube video (5 min 20 seconds)

Once you have a channel you need to create you first intro video. This lesson includes a couple of pointers for what to say and create a video that you're proud of -no matter who finds it-
Aaaand upload.

Lesson 6: Three Filming Tips to Avoid Looking like an Amateur (3 min 10 seconds)

This was intentionally put AFTER you post your first video. This way you can only improve, we go over lighting, the most important part of filming, and the biggest mistake new YouTubers make.

Lesson 7: Background 101 (2 min 45 seconds)

Yes, I'm literally talking about what is in the background. How to make what's going on behind you look good.

Lesson 8: How to make a thumbnail for YouTube (17 min 20 seconds)

Watch me create a thumbnail, and get the tips for creating a clickable thumbnail.
This is one of the most important parts. You can be giving away gold in your video but if no one clicks on it, no one knows.

Lesson 9: Editing your video 101 (2 minutes) on iMovie (9 minutes) & Final Cut Pro (9 minutes 40 seconds)
